Timothy K. Clay serves as President of Clay & Company, a Houston-based, commercial real estate brokerage and auction company. Mr. Clay is a twenty-two year veteran of the commercial real estate business, forming Clay & Company in 1991. Clay & Company serves governmental agencies, financial institutions, insurance companies, and individuals throughout the state of Texas. Clay & Company has been involved with the sales of office buildings, retail properties, multi-family units, industrial facilities, farms, ranches, and undeveloped acreage.
Prior to forming Clay & Company, Mr. Clay spent six years with Fuller Real Estate Services. While working for Fuller, Mr. Clay received the “Tops in Texas” award for outstanding commercial real estate sales in 1988 and 1989. While with Fuller, Mr. Clay became involved with real estate auctions in order to develop a more expedient alternative to disposing of property. Since that time he has been involved in over 100 commercial real estate auctions with sales totaling over $500 million.
Mr. Clay is from Monroe, Louisiana, and attended Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA, before transferring to Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He graduated from LSU with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing. Mr. Clay is an avid golfer and lives in northwest Houston with his wife Debra. He has two daughters, Katie Clay and Kendall Clay.
