Bob Schwartz the President of Jeremiah Partners a consulting company specializing in growth and strategic planning, capital formation/fund raising and management development and mentoring for emerging growth companies as well as established companies contemplating a change in strategic direction.
He also serves as President of HTC Energy, a division of the Houston Technology Center, a non profit business accelerator.
From 1993 thru 2002 he was a member of the faculty of the University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business, as Senior Lecturer and Director of the Entrepreneurship Concentration. Prior to joining the University of Texas he served in management positions with Exxon/Mobil, Conoco/Phillips and FMC as well as start up companies in the energy and energy services industry.
He has consulted for the top management of public companies, non-profit organizations and political entities. His clients have included Energy Ventures, Shell Chemical, General Motors, 3M, Wilson Industries, Houston Engineers, Smith International, Electrosource, Ascension Orthopedics, Drillinginfo, The City of Austin Texas and The MD Anderson Cancer Center. He serves on the Boards of SmartPrice and the Houston Technology Center and on the Advisory Boards of BirdNest Systems, Sakornin VestAS . He was a member of the Board of Directors of Ascension Orthopedics a venture capital funded medical device start up and served on the Board of GTE a European technology company that listed on LSE/AIM in 2005.
He is the President of the Board of Directors of the Texas Tennis and Education Foundation, a member of the Board of Stewards of Chapelwood United Methodist Church and a member of the Board of the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft.
Schwartz holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering (Tau Beta Pi) from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from Harvard University.
