Silver Fox Advisors make resources available for business leaders and owners, entrepreneurs, and individuals seeking to improve their business, leadership, management and/or life skills. Some of these resources include the following.
From January through November of each year the Silver Fox Advisors’ “Signature Lunch and Learn Program” presentations cover a wide range of timely business topics. These Lunch and Learn sessions are well-received and attended by Silver Fox Advisors, their guests and a large number of Houston business owners and leaders. Speakers include Silver Fox Advisors, national, state and local political officials, community leaders, corporate C-level executives, educational experts, media personalities, and sports figures. A special program each year features some of the Houston Better Business Bureau’s Pinnacle Award winners. Another popular Lunch & Learn Program showcases Gary Polland and David Jones co-hosts of Houston Public Media’s Channel 8 “Red, White and Blue” Program a political affairs program. Polland and Jones are becoming annual Lunch and Learn speakers, and they provide a lively, informative and entertaining program. On occasion, members of other service groups or organizations, like the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber, will attend these Lunch and Learn sessions as well.
The Silver Fox Advisors’ CEO Roundtable Program is one of Silver Fox Advisors’ Signature Programs. Started more than 20 years ago, the Silver Fox Advisors’ CEO Roundtable Program offers privately-owned companies the opportunity to obtain advice and support from fellow Entrepreneurs. Each Silver Fox Advisors’ CEO Roundtable has a Silver Fox Advisor who serves as a moderator and mentor. Members of the Roundtable must be business owners or CEO’s. Roundtable members share their knowledge, experience and skills, thus affording companies of any size the benefit of having an Advisory Board made up of professionals like themselves who can assist them in solving problems, growing or expanding their business, all in a confidential setting.
New Roundtables are forming, and open seats are available in existing Roundtables, so if your business has been in business for a number of years we have a place for you.
The Fox Den Program is open to members of the Silver Fox Advisors’ CEO Roundtables that are in good standing. One member is selected quarterly to present their business plan for growth, financing, restructure, acquisition, expansion, exit or other pressing situation that they need help with. A Fox Den panel made up of Silver Fox Advisors will evaluate the presenter’s plan and provide feedback.
Silver Fox Advisors are speakers and presenters at various business events and meetings through-out the year. Their presentations provide the attendees timely and helpful business advice. Below are excerpts from some of these presentations (in Power Point form). Please feel free to download and review the ideas discussed in these presentations. For follow-up information you are encouraged to contact the presenters directly, as all are members of the Silver Fox Advisors.
