Silver Fox Advisors Presentation Featuring Port of Houston and Regional Economic Development
HOUSTON, TX (Sept. 8, 2015) - Silver Fox Advisors announced today the August Lunch & Learn Program, scheduled for Thursday September 24, 2015, will feature Mr. Chad Burke, President and CEO Economic Alliance, the economic development corporation for the Houston Ship Channel Region.
Mr. Burke is responsible for oversight and direction of all operational and financial considerations of the organization; including leading and directing economic development activities, oversight of membership committees, business and membership development, non-member revenue generation, organizational strategic planning, Board of Directors development, facility management, and working with community partners to nurture relationships with member cities, Harris County, and the Port of Houston Authority.
Before joining the Economic Alliance, Mr. Burke served as Project Manager in the Technology & Economic Development Division of the Texas Engineering Extension Service in College Station, where he performed public facility feasibility studies and completed econometric modeling and impact studies for economic development projects throughout Texas. In addition, Mr. Burke coordinated strategic regional planning initiatives for various cities throughout the state.
A graduate of Texas A & M University, Mr. Burke earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics. Mr. Burke serves on the Board of Directors for the Gulf Coast Economic Development District (GCEDD) and Armand Bayou Nature Center, and serves as chairman of the Deer Park Education Foundation.
