Silver Fox Advisors Presentation Featuring "The Federal Reserve in Houston: What It Does and Why It Matters"
HOUSTON, TX (Jan. 2, 2016) - Silver Fox Advisors announced today the January 2016 Lunch & Learn Program, scheduled for Thursday January 28, 2016, will feature Daron D. Peschel, Senior Vice President in Charge Houston Branch Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.
Peschel joined the Bank in 1989 as a management intern and served in numerous analytical and managerial roles. In 1994, he was selected to serve on special assignment as a financial analyst at the Federal Reserve System Board of Governors in Washington, D.C. In 1998, he was named as Operations Officer. In this role, Peschel served as a principal team member and financial officer for the $100+ million new Houston Branch Bank building. Peschel has served the bank in various official capacities,
including cash operations, financial management, administrative services, and property management. He also served as Corporate Secretary to the Houston Branch board of directors, and has been a member of the Bank’s Risk Management and Investment Review Committees.
In 2011, Peschel was named Vice President in Charge of the Houston Branch, and assumed responsibility for the Bank’s operations in the 41 counties comprising the Houston/Gulf Coast region. He is also a member of the Bank’s Senior Management Committee.
An advocate of financial and business education, Peschel serves on the University of Texas McCombs School of Business Alumni Board, Sam Houston State University Chair of Banking Advisory Board, and the Junior Achievement Gulf Coast Board of Directors. Active in the Houston community, Peschel serves on Central Houston Board of Directors and the Buffalo Bayou Partnership Board of Directors; and is also a member of the National Association of Business Economics; Houston World Affairs Committee; and Greater Houston Partnership.
Peschel holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and a Masters of Business Administration in Banking and Financial Institutions from Sam Houston State University. He is also a graduate of Leadership Houston Class XXVII, the Center for Houston’s Future, the Federal Reserve senior management training program, and numerous other executive education programs.
