General Business Facilitator
Jack is a quality professional who helps organizations improve productivity and quality. He has over thirty years of experience in industry with in a wide variety of industries including defense, shipbuilding, packaging, automotive parts manufacturing, chemicals, and manufacturing of farm machinery and construction equipment. In his consulting work, Jack has led implementation of TQM and Cost of Quality processes.
His extensive international experience includes working with organizations around the world to implement effective ISO 9000 quality systems focused on lower costs and higher customer satisfaction. Jack has served as Quality Director for European operations of a large corporation.
From 1990 to 1993 he served on the Board of examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and has implemented internal Total Quality Management Assessment processes based on the Baldrige Award criteria. He is currently a member of the board of directors of the ANSI/ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB).
From 1997-2005 Jack Chaired the US TAG to ISO TC 176 and was lead delegate for the United States to the International Standards Organization committee responsible for the ISO 9000 family of quality management standards. He continues to serve on these committees.
Jack has authored many papers and articles. He is co-editor of The ASQ ISO 9000:2000 Handbook. He is also co-author of ISO 9001:2000 Explained, Cracking the Case of ISO 9001:2000 for Manufacturing, Cracking the Case of ISO 9001:2000 for Service, ISO 9001:2000, An Audio Workshop and Master Slide Presentation, How to Audit the Process-Based QMS, and Unlocking the Power of Your Quality Management System: Keys to Performance Improvement. All are published by the American Society for Quality (ASQ). Along with Charles A. Cianfrani, he also has produced video programs published by The International Forum for Quality Management (INFORM). These include Internal Auditing Basics, Quality Basics, and How to Deal With External Auditors.
Jack is a fellow of (ASQ). He was the 2004 recipient of ASQ's prestigious Freund Marquardt Medal for his international standardization work.
